Established in 1969 with the blessings of Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan ji, Surmandal has been a pillar of Indian classical music in Hyderabad for over 50+ years. We curate five to six concerts annually, featuring both legendary maestros and emerging artists, and host the Mohan Mitra Mahotsav, a tribute to the greats of Indian classical music.
Beyond concerts, Surmandal has actively preserved musical heritage, leading initiatives like naming city landmarks after icons such as Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, Ustad Bismillah Khan, and Pandit Bhimsen Joshi. With an unwavering commitment to tradition, we continue to nurture, promote, and celebrate the timeless legacy of Indian classical music.
